As of June 2020, I am now happy to provide estate services to the communities of Door County, WI including Sturgeon Bay, Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephraim, Sister Bay, Baileys Harbor, Jacksonport, and every backroad in Door County. What is the first step to a home cleanout?
The first step in home cleanout is to contact me so that we can schedule a walk-through of the property, establish a service agreement that satisfies both parties and make sure that the owner and/or family has had the opportunity to take what they want to keep from the property. A walk-through and discussions about your particular situation are always free. Locating specific items can always be part of the home cleanout as I go through every box, every book, every pocket and every drawer in the house to ensure that the customer recovers their important family possessions.
What happens with personal items that are found during the cleanout?
While I generally expect the owner or family to remove items they wish to keep before the cleanout work begins, I always make every effort to return personal pictures, important documents, expensive jewelry, money, hidden treasure, etc. Additional personal items are almost always found and I will always do my best to locate and return these items to the customer.
What happens to the contents of the house?
Once the family or owners have had a chance to go through the home to remove any items that they wish to keep or sell on their own, Casey's Estate Cleanout Solutions LLC reserves the right to dispose of, recycle, sell, keep or donate to charitable organizations as appropriate or according to pre-arranged agreement with the customer. I strive to donate, recycle and reuse as much as possible to keep usable and needed items out of the landfill.
